How can I become an IRSPM member? Do conference participants become members automatically?

Becoming an IRSPM member is very easy. You can renew the membership anytime through the IRSPM website: http://www.irspm.net/membership.html. Registration for the annual IRSPM conference includes an annual membership.

According to the terms & conditions that you can consult on: https://www.irspm.com/en/terms-and-conditions.html, membership lasts form 15th April until 15th April of the following year. Registration throughout the year will cover membership until the upcoming 15th April.
The benefits of membership include:

May I have a document that shows that I am an IRSPM member?

Yes. You can send an email to the IRSPM Membership Secretary. After checking with the IRSPM Treasurer your current position, a letter will be sent to you by email.

If I become a member through the IRSPM website, can I then benefit of the reduced annual conference fee?

As indicated on the website you will only be able to register as a member for the conference if you have renewed your membership BEFORE the beginning of December. If you registered later you will NOT be entitled to the preferred membership registration fee, but you will have to register as a non-member. In the later case, we will reimburse your membership fees for 2014/15 with all banking charges to your expenses.
So, if you registered later then 1st December this is the reason that the conference software will not accept you as a member.

I have just paid for this membership but have received a response saying that my membership will expire on 15.05.15 – a couple of weeks after I have subscribed to it.

Please consult the terms & conditions on the same website you used for registering: https://www.irspm.com/en/terms-and-conditions.html In particular, the rule is that membership lasts form 15th April until 15th April of the following year. Registration throughout the year will cover membership until the upcoming 15. April.

I have made my registration through the IRSPM webpage as a member, and I paid by credit card the fee for regular membership, but I didn´t receive any confirmation.

Thanks for getting back to us and for becoming an IRSPM member. During website renewals it may happen that you don’t get an automatic message. To check if your membership has been activated, please send an email to the IRSPM Treasurer.

I have just realized, from talking to a colleague, that I have been missing all the messages from IRSPM. I have been a member for some time but could not attend last year. This year I did not receive any email telling me about the next conference. Please let me know if I have missed membership fees and how I can get back on the mailing list.

We are sorry for this inconvenience. If you are planning to attend the next annual conference, you can already register (this includes membership renewal):
http://irspm2015.com/index.php/irspm/index/pages/view/registration
Otherwise, you can renew the membership anytime through the IRSPM website: http://www.irspm.net/membership.html
Both registration to the annual conference or as an IRSPM member will include your email entry on the website database and the activation of the annual Public Management Review subscription free of charge.
Besides mailing lists, we try to keep our members updated through Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. You can follow IRSPM there as well.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the conference this year. I would, however, like to keep my IRSPM membership active. Can you send me an invoice for renewing my membership, and instructions on how to pay it?

You can renew the membership anytime through the IRSPM website: http://www.irspm.net/membership.html. Please pay attention to the terms & conditions that you can consult on: https://www.irspm.com/en/terms-and-conditions.html, according to which membership lasts form 15th April until 15th April of the following year. Registration throughout the year will cover membership until the upcoming 15th April.

I am about to join IRSPM, partly to be better connected but also for the journal. Is there an agreement with the IRSPM membership subscription to the journal that it is so cheap?

Yes, there is an agreement between IRSPM and the Public Management Review. Make sure you give the same address where you want your copies delivered when you register to IRSPM.
